Hello I am Calvin E. Nicholson and, this page will help you find out how this all began.

My family owned Teddy Ruxpin,Grubby,Mother Goose,and Hector, in 1987 my son Jared enjoyed all of them but Teddy was his favorite, my daughter Bridget came into the world enjoying them as well,but as it goes if you have ever seen the movie Toy Story another toy comes along and so the WOWs' were stored in the closet for about 5 years.

Then my son discovered them again and when we started playing with them, well they just wouldn't play.My son gave me the "you can fix'em daddy".So wanting to be the hero I worked on Teddy and Grubby for about two days and got them going again.But it didn't stop there as I have been going ever since.

I take alot of pride in getting the WOWs' back to working status, they are thoroughly gone over inside and out, and modifications and updates are done so they will keep going.

Besides I use repairing them as an excuse to "still play with them".

Always enjoying Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby connected and telling about my favorite adventures "Grunge Music" and "All About Bears".

The History of WORLDS OF WONDER,TOY FAIRE,BEARS 'N CARES,and Teddy Ruxpin is also one of my enjoyments.

I started trying to find out as much as I could since 1997 and will come up with a new piece of information when someone e-mails me with it.So if anyone out there has any information on these subjects please get ahold of me.I appreciate it.

Along with this is my favorite part of WORLDS OF WONDER the Point Of Purchase Store Displays which in themselves were a break through in advertising and marketing.I have quite a few,some mint in the box never used,some for parts,and others that are in very nice working condition.Everytime I think I may have them all,another one pops up.Again if anyone has a WOW store display for sale let me know.

I worked at Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station for 15 years and was fortunate to be part of their robotics program.The robotics used servos as well as other electronics somewhat similar to Teddy Ruxpin.It is here I got my alias DR. WOW and DR. C.E. and the A.S. attached to it for Animatronic Specialist.I started doing co-workers broken WOWs' and their families-families-families all over the states and some abroad.So I just have expanded slightly as I was asked to put up a website so people could find me easier and here it is.

I have done over 1000 Worlds Of Wonder Restorations and a few other brands as well.I Specialize in Teddy Ruxpin,Grubby and Mother Goose Restorations as they are the most plentiful and requested.But I also enjoy doing the rest of the W.O.W. Gang,but their parts availability is very limited.

All my Restorations have a unique code in the internals several places for example W.O.W.-T.R.-02-R this means it is the 2ND Teddy Ruxpin Restoration.My numbers are low as I had started a new numbering system in November 2004.

You won't see all the restorations on the ADMISSIONS LIST as there are several organizations that use Teddy Ruxpin and the WOW Gang for live auction- dinner type events as well as raffles,and several I sell on ebay for their groups.

It is nice to know Teddy Ruxpin is still an Ambassador Of Goodwill.

It is a fun spare time adventure,and I have gotten to meet quite a few more people in the U.S. and abroad,that I wouldn't have if it weren't for Teddy Ruxpin and his friends.
